Lagoon biosolids removal and land application

Indian Summer, a leading producer of apple juice in Michigan, utilizes an activated sludge wastewater treatment plant for pretreatment of their production waste before discharge into the City's sanitary sewer system. Additionally, they utilize three storage lagoons for equalization and pre-aeration. BioTech Agronomics was contracted to provide removal, transportation land application and agronomic management of the biosolids from their lagoons and in-ground sludge storage tank. Due to their acute sensitivity to odor concerns from nearby neighbors, our dredge was utilized for pumping approximately 1,200,000 gallons of biosolids from the lagoon into the tankers for transportation to nearby agricultural fields.
