Biosolids land application
BioTech Agronomics provided land application of the biosolids from the City of Grand Rapids 60
MGD WWTP. The biosolids were dewatered by centrifuges and lime stabilized at the WWTP and transported
to farm fields. Utilizing a dry spreader, we spread approximately 36,000 wet tons per year,
which is approximately one-half of the facilities production. The remainder was transported and
disposed at a landfill during winter and wet weather conditions.
