Lagoon biosolids removal and land application

Upon successful completion and start-up of their new Sequencing Batch Reactor (SBR), the City of Reed City contracted BioTech Agronomics to provide removal, transportation land application and agronomic management of the biosolids from their seven acre wastewater lagoon. Due to the long history of obnoxious odors from these lagoons and the City's acute sensitivity to this problem, we utilized our dredge to pump approximately 5 million gallons of biosolids from the lagoon and provided land application to nearby agricultural land.

Upon removal of the majority of the biosolids with the dredge, the water was pumped out and treated in the SBR and we mobilized a lagoon pump and bulldozer to remove the remaining 1,500,000 gallons. This project was completed with no odor complaints.
